Walgreens recognizes the amazing teachers that go above and beyond to support their students. That’s why they’ve partnered with the ME to WE Foundation to support the WE Teachers program. From July 19 to September 7, together with participating brands like Hershey, Walgreens is committed to supporting teachers in communities across America and Puerto Rico.
WE Teachers is a free program that ensures that every teacher in every school nationwide has access to the educational tools and training they need to set them and their students up for future success. Now in its second year, the program provides teachers with resources to help their students become active, engaged citizens, including:

To help her students deal with trauma, Mandy Currier opens up about the challenges she’s faced to encourage communication. “They have trauma at home, they’re struggling in class, and I’m just trying to get them to love learning, to love coming to school,” says Mandy. It’s all part of her trauma-informed teaching approach, which she’s finding support with through the WE Teachers program.
The WE Teachers Award will only be awarded to an Educator who is a legal United States and Puerto Rico resident and at least 18 years of age at time of the nomination, who a) enters the Contest himself/herself or is nominated, and b) accepts the Prize if so selected. Click here for more details.
